Union Minister Pabitra Margherita has been actively involved in various significant events, both in India and abroad.

Recently, Margherita virtually attended the launch of the 'Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan' by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. This campaign, the largest health outreach for women and children in India, will take place from 17th September to 2nd October 2025 and will organise over 1 lakh health camps. The initiative aims to provide preventive, promotive, and curative care, focusing on maternal and child health, nutrition, and family well-being.

Margherita expressed his praise for the 'Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan', acknowledging it as a monumental health outreach for women and children in India. He also plans to visit Community Health Centres (CHC) in Assam in the coming days to participate in this campaign.

In other news, Margherita paid a floral tribute at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Brisbane, Australia. He also planted a sapling under 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', an initiative to honour Prime Minister Modi on his birthday, at Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane. During this visit, Margherita remembered Mahatma Gandhi's message of non-violence.

Margherita's international engagements include representing the Assam Rifles during his visit to Papua New Guinea at the time of the 50th Independence celebrations. He also held talks with Wesley Simina, President of the Federated States of Micronesia, in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

In a statement, Margherita highlighted India's advancing health sector, stating that it is moving towards greater accessibility, quality, and inclusivity under the dedicated efforts of Union Health Minister Shri JP Nadda.

Margherita's active participation in these events underscores his commitment to public service and his dedication to improving the lives of people in India and abroad.
