Political contender finds "My space, your space" distasteful in Majorca
In the beautiful Mediterranean island of Mallorca, the popular German TV cooking competition, "Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal - Der Profi kommt," is airing a summer special. Each day at 5:55 PM, viewers can tune in to Kabel Eins to witness the competition unfold.
This year's special features five very different restaurant concepts, each offering a unique culinary experience. On Monday, "Adelfas by Jens" in Santa Ponsa, known for its Mediterranean cuisine, will be competing. On Tuesday, "Münchner Kindl" in Playa de Palma, serving Bavarian specialities, will join the fray. On Wednesday, "La Pappa" in Cala d'Or, offering Italian cuisine, will participate. On Thursday, "Tierra del Fuego" in Portocolom, specialising in Argentine asado, will enter the competition. Lastly, on Friday, "Estragon" in Felanitx, known for its Spanish cuisine, will complete the lineup.
The competition takes place at "Adelfas by Jens" in Santa Ponsa, with host Jens insisting that each restaurant owner, including Gerlinde from "Münchner Kindl," tries a dish that includes a turbot slice with gambareis and sea foam made from fish skin. However, Gerlinde has expressed her preference for the dish without sea foam and has asked for it to be served separately.
Two-star chef Robin Pietsch, the moderator of the show, expects a tough job due to the diversity and atmosphere of the restaurants. He is not concerned about the sea foam, and neither is professional chef Robin Pietsch, who is not involved in the competition but has shown interest in the event.
Viewers can watch the competition ahead of time with a paid Joyn+ subscription. The show promises a week filled with culinary diversity, as each restaurant offers a unique taste of their respective cuisines.
