Robert Lewandowski Stands Firm Against Coach Michal Probierz, Boycotts Poland National Team

Polishsoccer star, Robert Lewandowski, has decided to withdraw from the national team due to disputes with the national football association.

Step into the world of soccer as the athlete Robert Lewandowski controversially boycotts the Polish national team. This decision comes as a direct response to coach Michal Probierz's choices, with Lewandowski demanding a change in leadership.

The 36-year-old footballing legend has played an impressive 158 games for Poland, scoring a remarkable 85 goals. However, he recently announced that he would no longer participate in the national team under Probierz, expressing the loss of trust in Poland's coach.

Lewandowski explained his decision on social media, stating, "Given the circumstances and the loss of trust in the current coach of the Polish national team, I have decided to stop my activity in the Polish national team as long as he is in office."

The striker, who previously played for Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, had previously opted out of the current qualifying window after a grueling club season with Barcelona. Poland's World Cup qualifiers kicked off in the spring with victories against Lithuania (1:0) and Malta (2:0), and they will face Finland on Tuesday.

In an interview with Polish broadcaster TVP Sport, Lewandowski stated that he told Probierz that he "felt physically, but above all mentally, not well."

Before Lewandowski's announcement, Probierz had already named Piotr Zielinski as the new captain of the national team, but it seems this decision may have added fuel to the fire. The Polish Football Association confirmed Probierz's decision in a statement.

The pressure on Probierz is likely to increase following Lewandowski's assertive public stance. The coach's record is mixed, having led Poland to a last-place finish at the 2022 European Championship in Germany and securing relegation from League A of the Nations League with a 1:2 home defeat against Scotland in November.

Lewandowski's ultimate goal is to lead his nation to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, but it remains to be seen if he will resume his role on the team following a change in leadership.

I am not sure if Robert Lewandowski will resume his role in the Polish national team, considering the ongoing conflict with coach Michal Probierz. Despite his impressive track record in European leagues, particularly football, Lewandowski's boycott of the national team could raise questions about his participation in upcoming international matches.
