As per the police, an elderly gentleman (72) disembarked from a streetcar on the M13 line in Gesundbrunnen just before 2.40 a.m. on February 6. Shortly after departing the train at Osloer Straße / Prinzenallee stop, the suspect reportedly clamped down on the senor's neck from behind! He attempted to snatch the victim's wallet from his pocket.

The senior's knees buckled under the chokehold, rendering him defenseless. The perpetrator then allegedly struck him several times in the face and persisted in attempting to pull the wallet free. The heartless miscreant fled on foot in the direction of Residenzstraße,wallet in hand. The police reported that he had left the streetcar at the very same stop.
