Sadly, his health took a turn for the worse shortly after his arrest. He lost consciousness before medical responders arrived and eventually stopped breathing. Unable to revive him, they rushed him to the hospital where he passed away soon after.
Reports suggest that drug use may have been a factor in the driver's erratic behavior. Substances consistent with drug use were indeed uncovered on the deceased. It's not uncommon for this region to deal with cases of drivers under the influence, sparking debates about police pursuit policies.
In light of the incident, the state prosecutor has ordered an autopsy for Monday. Given the unfortunate chain of events, authorities in Münster have taken charge of the investigation to maintain an unbiased perspective.
