Cops on the Hunt for Lazy-Ass Doggo After London Tussle with Polo Steeds

In a nutshell, Scotland Yard's Mounted Branch Luvvies have called on the public to pitch in with their investigation following a doggy dagnabbit's assault on two of their beloved equine partners, Yvonne and Snaffles, in London's Shepherd's Bush playground. The mishap unfolded around 11:30 am on Monday while our chums were on patrol, and apparently, the doggy daredevil couldn't help but bite the horses' weak spots, causing a right stressful scene.

Here's the gist of the good ol' furry knucklehead's escapades:

  • Meatball Mayhem: The little scamp chased the horses and tried to chomp on their legs, with its owner struggling to keep the critter from mutilating the horses' manes.
  • Bodycam Clapbacks: PC Grace Miller-McCormack's body camera recorded the whole shebang, including her yelling at the doggo, "You're gonna get kicked!" and "Get away!" as the mutt made a beeline for Snaffles.
  • Public Intervention: Members of the general public eventually had to jump in to catch the dog and put a stop to its gnawing ways.
  • Injuries and Aftermath: Yvonne and Snaffles are currently recuperating at their stables, nursing minor damages, with the officers coming out unscathed. Ah, the resilience of horsey chums!

You got it, an investigation is in motion with the police, but no nabber-uppers have been nabbed yet. The doggo was hauled off but later given back to its master. If found guilty, that doggo could face some serious consequences - unearthly fines, imprisonment, or a prison sentence and a fine. And if said doggo decides to nick its bite on someone? Well, then, the pooch will need to prepare to be sent up the river for up to five years.

To dodge this fate, the policemen strongly recommend that dog owners keep their furry friends on a leash if they haven't got a good recall, ensuring the safety of the doggy and us humans, too.

Sergeant Leon Astley has shared his two cents, "Since horses ain’t exactly a common sight in the city, we kindly ask dog owners to keep their dogs in check so that we don't have to worry about our four-legged partners getting hurt again. No need to panic, our chums are gonna be alright! If you got deets on this incident, give us a shout at 101, and ya didda!"

  1. General-news reports indicate that Scotland Yard's Mounted Branch is investigating a dog's attack on two police horses in London's Shepherd's Bush playground.
  2. Officers are urging the public to keep their dogs on a leash, especially if they don't have a good recall, to prevent such incidents from happening again, as per the advice of Sergeant Leon Astley.
  3. Warning letters could be sent to the dog's owner, potentially leading to fines, imprisonment, or even a prison sentence and a fine if the dog is found guilty of the attack.
  4. In a related turn of events, Astley also emphasized that, given horses aren't common city sights, it's essential for dog owners to control their dogs to protect equine officers from potential harm.
