Police from the federal level carry out two arrest warrants at NRW's main train station, according to BPOL.

On Monday, September 15th, an 18-year-old German national was apprehended by the Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin at Hamm Central Station. The arrest took place in the morning during a routine check.

The young man from Hamm is suspected of a series of criminal offenses, including violence, property damage, and drug-related crimes. The court's order for his detention was due to his evasion of the proceedings and going into hiding.

The Hamm Local Court convicted him in two cases for using symbols of unconstitutional organizations. As a result, he was sentenced to 30 days in prison due to his inability to pay the €300 fine and over €1000 in costs.

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Dortmund had issued a warrant for his arrest due to his failure to pay the fine from a conviction last year. The offenses for which the 18-year-old is suspected occurred in Hamm.

Markus Heuer, press spokesperson for the Bundespolizeidirektion Sankt Augustin, confirmed the arrest. While there is no publicly available detailed information about his previous professional background or career before his current position, Mr. Heuer is consistently referenced in this role across various police announcements and press releases.

The Federal Police Directorate Sankt Augustin was involved in the apprehension of the suspect. The exact circumstances leading to the arrest are not yet clear, but the Federal Police are expected to release more details in due course.
