The complaint was made against a specific web series on Alt Balaji that showed a military officer engaging in an "illicit sexual act."
The Khar police were directed to conduct an enquiry and submit a report, which they did. However, no criminality was found in the complaint alleging that the web series disrespected Indian soldiers. Mumbai Police confirmed this finding, stating that no action can be taken since no official or active-duty armed forces officer has filed a complaint against them.
It is worth noting that Ekta Kapoor is not associated with the platform ALTT, which some reports may have confused with Alt Balaji. Kapoor stepped down from ALTT back in June 2021 and has since distanced herself from controversies related to obscene content on such platforms. Ekta Kapoor herself posted an official notice about her departure from ALTT on her Instagram page a few weeks ago, further clarifying her disassociation from the platform. The Kapoors were directors of Balaji Telefilm, not Alt Balaji, according to the police report.
