Police enacted a federal warrant for an arrest at BPOLI MD
A 43-year-old Polish man wanted by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Krefeld, Germany, was arrested by federal police officers at Halle (Saale) Central Station on July 8, 2025.
The man had previously been sentenced to a fine of 900 euros or 45 days of imprisonment for petty theft by the Nettetal Local Court in May 2020. However, he failed to comply with the order to serve his sentence, resulting in a warrant for his arrest issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Krefeld in April 2025.
The warrant allowed for a 43-day period, but the man's attempts to raise the amount of 860 euros to avoid imprisonment were unsuccessful.
Upon his arrest, the man was taken to the police station at the central station. The Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg, which provided the information, can be contacted at +49 (0) 391-56549-505.
