Title: Tragic Discovery in Bingen: Two-Year-Old Found, No Indication of Foul Play
A somber development unfolded in the Swabian town of Bingen, with authorities confirming the recovery of a two-year-old girl who had been missing since Sunday evening. Despite the grim circumstances, police spokesman Christian Sugg reported no indications of a criminal offense.
The toddler’s body was discovered by a diver on Tuesday morning just before the entrance to Hitzkofen – a nearby Bingen suburb. Plenty of helpers had been on the case since Sunday, scouring the area for the missing child.
As of Tuesday afternoon, a team of ten divers, including experts from the water police and the DLRG, continued their search in the ice-cold River Lauchert for any sign of the tragedy's victim. Assisted by sniffer dogs, the divers dove into the river at Hitzkofen and scoured the area downstream, while police and DLRG personnel also searched the riverbanks and undergrowth for clues.
The nightmarish search for the two-year-old began on Sunday, when the little girl apparently slipped away from her family's home near the river. Officials still believe the situation was an unintended accident.
Although the police in Ravensburg confirmed the recovery of the missing child, the Bingen police force continues to prioritize their operational investigation into the incident. The tragic recovery has not diminished their dedication to determining the exact circumstances surrounding the young girl's disappearance.
