Polestar's bold German expansion: 4 new EVs and a dealer network overhaul by 2027

Polestar is pushing ahead with an ambitious expansion plan in Germany and beyond. The electric carmaker will launch four new models over the next three years while overhauling its dealer network to support growth. Recent sales figures show strong momentum, with a 66% surge in Germany during early 2023 alone. From April 1, 2023, Polestar restructured its dealer partnerships to accelerate expansion. The company removed exclusive territory restrictions, allowing broader market coverage. All existing partners signed the updated agreement, pledging further investment in the brand.

The new deal also integrates Polestar's used-car division, *Polestar Pre-Owned*, into the network. By 2027, the brand aims to double its German locations and open 30 *Polestar Spaces*—dedicated showrooms and service hubs. Jan Grindemann, Regional Managing Director for Central Europe, called the dealer network a *key success factor* for future growth. The expansion follows a year of strong performance. In 2025, Polestar reported a 34% global sales increase and a 57% jump in Germany. This upward trend continued into 2023, with a 66% sales rise in the first two months. Alongside network growth, Polestar will roll out four new models by 2027. The lineup includes the Polestar 5, a fresh variant of the Polestar 4, a successor to the Polestar 2, and the flagship Polestar 7. These launches mark the brand's most aggressive product push yet.

Polestar's restructured dealer agreements and upcoming model releases signal a major growth phase. The company's German sales have already climbed sharply, while the expanded network and new vehicles aim to solidify its market position. The next three years will see the brand's most extensive product offensive to date.
