In a heartfelt and significant move, the Berlin Eisbaeren have welcomed Andreas Eder to their team for the upcoming season. Eder, the brother of the late Tobias Eder, a former forward for the Eisbaeren, will wear the number 43.

Eder, who previously played for EHC Red Bull Munich, brings a wealth of experience to the team. His addition was announced to bring some positivity on that day, following the tragic loss of his brother, who died in January at the age of 26.

The championship win last season was dedicated to Tobias Eder, and his memory was a central part of the celebrations. During the ceremonies, Tobias Eder's fiancée accepted the gold medal on his behalf. The players also posed with a jersey of Tobias Eder's.
