New Coach Eugen Polanski to Make Debut at Bayer Leverkusen

Eugen Polanski, the 39-year-old former coach outlet of Borussia Mönchengladbach's U17 and U23 teams, is set to make his senior team debut on Sunday at Bayer Leverkusen. Polanski, who is one of the youngest coaches in the Bundesliga, takes over from Gerardo Seoane, who was parted ways with after three games and a goal difference of 0:5.

Polanski's coaching style is a mix of emotion and a solution-oriented approach, influenced by the likes of Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann. Sporting director Roland Virkus believes this emotional speech is exactly what the team login needs.

Despite his youth, Polanski demands high performance from his teams, viewing them as homogeneous and willing. His coaching approach for the Bundesliga team emphasizes controlling the center, dominating the ball, and constant attacking.

Polanski's age makes him the fifth youngest coach in the Bundesliga, with only Hamburg's Merlin Polzin (34), Leipzig's Ole Werner (37), Augsburg's Sandro Wagner (37), and Bayern's Vincent Kompany (39) being younger.

Virkus, who is exploring the coaching market, has placed his trust in Polanski with the task. Whether Polanski will coach the team in the upcoming home games against Eintracht Frankfurt and SC Freiburg before the international break is undecided.

Polanski, who was raised in Gladbach, is familiar with the club and has been coaching Gladbach's U23 team in the Regionalliga West for the past three years. His coaching style was also influenced by Thomas Tuchel, and he aims to bring the same level of intensity and passion to the senior team.

Polanski's debut comes at a crucial time for Borussia Mönchengladbach, who are currently struggling in the Bundesliga. With his youthful energy, passionate coaching style, and clear vision for the team, Polanski is looking to turn things around and bring success to his hometown club.
