Poland's Tomasiak Sets Unofficial Record, Wins Men's COC in Hinterzarten
The Continental Cup (COC) competitions in Hinterzarten concluded successfully over the weekend, attracting around 1,000 spectators and involving approximately 150 volunteers. The event saw impressive performances from international athletes, with Kacper Tomasiak (POL) and Lisa Hirner (AUT) claiming the top spots in the men's and women's competitions respectively.
Tomasiak set an unofficial hill record with his first jump of 114.5 meters, winning the men's COC with a total distance of 219.5 meters. He was closely followed by Jonas Schuster (AUT) and Gregor Deschwanden (SUI), who tied for second place with 246.5 points each. Felix Hoffmann (GER) was the best-placed German, finishing 8th with jumps of 102.0m and 106.5m.
In the women's competition, Lisa Hirner (AUT) secured victory with jumps of 97.0 and 102.0 meters. Nagomi Nakayama (JPN) finished second with 198.5 meters, while Tinkara Komar (SLO) placed third with 192.0 meters. The chairwoman of the organizing committee, Tanja Metzler, expressed satisfaction with the successful competition weekend.
