Poland’s hand tools market roars back with record trade and production in 2024
Poland’s hand tools market witnessed robust growth in 2024, with both imports and exports surging. The sector rebounded after two years of decline, as production and trade figures soared to new heights. Key trading partners included Germany, the Czech Republic, and China, which played a significant role in supply chains.
Imports of hand tools into Poland jumped by X% in 2024, reaching X tons. This marked the end of a two-year downturn, with China remaining the leading supplier, covering a X% share of total imports. The average import price, however, fell to $X per ton, a decline of X% compared to 2023.
Production within Poland also surged, hitting a value of $X in 2024. The increase was one of the most notable in recent years, reflecting higher domestic and export demand. Exports grew by X% to X tons, reversing a previous two-year decline. Germany was the top export destination, accounting for a X% share of total shipments.
Trade with neighboring countries remained robust. Poland’s primary partners for both imports and exports were Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Austria. Import prices from these nations ranged between €1.20 and €2.80 per unit, while export prices to the same markets varied from €1.50 to €3.20 per unit.
Despite the growth in trade and production, domestic consumption remained stagnant. After peaking at $X in 2022, it stayed flat between 2023 and 2024.
The 2024 figures underscore Poland’s expanding role in the hand tools market. Imports, exports, and production all rose significantly, with China and Germany playing pivotal roles. However, domestic demand has yet to keep pace with the growth in trade and manufacturing.
