Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will soon host a Tera Raid Battle event featuring Shiny Rayquaza

Get ready, Trainers! The much-anticipated Tera Raid Battle events in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are upon us, and the star of the show is none other than Shiny Rayquaza.

The events kick off with a three-part series, leading up to Shiny Rayquaza's grand entrance. The first part of the series is already underway, from Friday, 13 December 2024, at 00:00 UTC to Thursday, 19 December 2024, at 23:59 UTC.

From Friday, 20 December 2024, to Sunday, 5 January 2025, Shiny Rayquaza will appear in 5-star Tera Raid Battles. But remember, Trainers, Shiny Rayquaza can only be caught once per save data.

During Shiny Rayquaza's appearance, mass outbreaks of Fraxure, Carbink, and Cetoddle (all Shiny versions) will occur throughout various locations. This increases the chances of encountering Shiny Pokémon in these areas.

If you're hoping to add Shiny Rayquaza to your collection in games other than Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you're in luck! Shiny Rayquaza will also appear soon in Pokémon UNITE and Pokémon Masters EX.

For those who want a tangible reminder of this epic event, a Shiny Rayquaza Sitting Cuties plush will be coming soon to Pokémon Center.

Before Shiny Rayquaza, the Tablets of Ruin Pokémon took the spotlight. Shiny Wo-Chien (Grass Tera Type) was featured from July 23 to August 3, 2025. In the future, Shiny Chien-Pao (Ice Tera Type), Shiny Ting-Lu (Ground Tera Type), and Shiny Chi-Yu (Fire Tera Type) will also be available, but only if the global defeat milestone (one million) is met before each event ends.
