PlayStation Plus unveils nine new games for January 2026 lineup
Sony has announced nine new games joining PlayStation Plus in January 2026. The lineup includes major titles like Resident Evil Village and Ridge Racer, alongside a mix of indie and family-friendly options. Subscribers will also have until February 2 to claim three free games as part of the monthly Essential tier.
From January 20, PlayStation Plus Extra members will gain access to seven new titles. These include Resident Evil Village, the survival horror sequel, and Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, an off-road driving simulator. Other additions are A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, a narrative horror game, Darkest Dungeon 2, a turn-based RPG, and The Exit 8, a puzzle-adventure. Racing fans can enjoy Art of Rally, while A Little to the Left offers a cosy, puzzle-based experience. Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will receive Ridge Racer, the classic arcade racer, as an extra bonus.
The January selection also features Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, blending comedy and drama in its RPG storytelling. This follows Sony’s strategy of providing varied content for different player tastes. Until February 2, all PlayStation Plus subscribers—regardless of tier—can download Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper at no extra cost. These titles form the Essential tier’s monthly free offerings.
The January update expands PlayStation Plus with a mix of blockbuster, indie, and retro games. Subscribers can claim the Essential tier’s free titles until early February. The new additions aim to appeal to both dedicated gamers and those seeking lighter entertainment.
