Ludwigsburg Handbal Ladies on the Brink of Quarterfinal Victory

Looks like the Ludwigsburg handball ladies are about to make history! They've given themselves a solid shot at the Champions League quarterfinals by outplaying Krim Ljubljana 31:21 in the first leg. After a tight first half, Ludwigsburg ramped up their game in the second half, extending their lead to a commanding seven goals.

While Krim Ljubljana managed to narrow the gap to 15 goals at one point, Ludwigsburg's outstanding performance under the guidance of coach Jakob Vestergaard has left the German champs in an enviable position. The return match takes place next Sunday in Slovenia.

Ludwigsburg finished the group stage as the fifth-best out of eight teams.
