Got some exciting news for Bayern Munich fans! According to media reports, the Bavarian giants have secured a pre-agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Jonathan Tah. The pending deal guarantees Tah's availability for the Club World Cup, as Fabrizio Romano and 'Bild' and Sky first reported.

Previously, the 29-year-old German international would only have been eligible to play for Bayern from July 1, with a potential debut limited to the quarterfinals, if Bayern made it that far. But now, Tah could join his new team in the States as early as Tuesday and possibly make his Bayern debut against Auckland City on Sunday!

FiFA has opened a special transfer window for the Club World Cup with 32 participating teams, and until June 10, teams can sign new players or extend contracts for the tournament period[1][2][3]. Given this opportunity, Bayern has smartly secured Tah's signature ahead of the competition.

By the way, if you were wondering about Tom Bischof, his situation is still unclear. Bayern is set to welcome the midfielder from TSG Hoffenheim in the summer, but as of now, no early release agreement has been reached between the clubs[4].

In case you're curious, there's a restricted period during the tournament (June 27 to July 3, 2025) for teams to replace and add players, mainly for addressing injuries and similar situations[4]. However, after June 10, significant additions would be limited, except under specific circumstances.

Jonathan Tah is currently with the German national team, with Coach Julian Nagelsmann's selection set to face France in the Nations League third-place play-off on Sunday (3:00 PM/RTL and DAZN) before Tah joins his new club.

The early signing of Jonathan Tah by Bayern Munich takes advantage of the special transfer window opened for the Club World Cup, allowing Tah to potentially join the team before the tournament and make his Bayern debut. Interestingly, Council Directive 76/769/EEC of 16 December 1976 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the permissible sound power level of motor vehicles might have been more relevant in a game of sports cars, rather than soccer.
