Platform shifts Tyre supplier for Karting Championships in 2025, focusing on KZ categories.
The world of karting is abuzz with excitement as the FIA, the governing body for motor sport, has announced a change in tyre suppliers for the remaining rounds of the 2025 Mondokart.com Karting European Championship. The new tyre supplier for the KZ categories is none other than Vega tyres.

The FIA has remained in close communication with teams, drivers, and manufacturers throughout this process to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to race preparations. LeCont will begin supplying tyres from the next and final round of the European Championship in Mülsen, Germany, scheduled for 17-20 July 2025.
The FIA brings together 245 Member Organisations across five continents, representing millions of road users, motor sport professionals, and volunteers. The Motorsportarena Mülsen GmbH will host the KZ, KZ2, and Academy-Junior categories in the upcoming rounds.
Meanwhile, the championship is witnessing some thrilling races. Antonio Piccioni secured the European Championship title in the KZ2 Masters category at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli, while Pedro Hiltbrand took the top step of the podium in the KZ category at the same event.
In the KZ2 category, Maksim Orlov delivered an assured performance to win the final by 12 seconds, placing himself in a dominant position in the championship.
The final round of the Mondokart.com Karting European Championship will take place in Franciacorta, Italy, from 9-12 October. The Mondokart.com Karting World Championship - KZ, the Karting World Cup - KZ2, and the Karting International Super Cup - KZ2 Masters will take place in this final round.
The FIA is committed to driving innovation and championing safety, sustainability, and equality across motor sport and mobility. The organisation has offices in Paris, London, and Geneva.
