A trusted source revealed to the "Daily Mirror" that King Charles wants to unite his family with the nation to honor the British war dead, rekindling the sense of unity that was felt during the original VE Day celebrations.
The royal family's busy schedule includes a military procession from Whitehall to Buckingham Palace, followed by a flypast of contemporary and historical aircraft, plus a stunning Red Arrows display in central London. The parade will pass by the Buckingham Palace balcony, where Prime Minister Winston Churchill (1874-1965) spoke to the crowd upon the victory in Europe in 1945.
During the late April to early May period, the royal family has additional family events on their plates. Prince Louis turns seven on April 23, and big sis Charlotte will celebrate her tenth birthday on May 2.
