In an unexpected turn of events, an incident occurred on Tuesday when a Spirit Airlines plane, operating as flight 1300, found itself in close proximity to Air Force One, carrying U.S. President Donald Trump. The encounter was first reported by the Twitter user @JonNYC.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed awareness of the incident, with both planes maintaining a safe distance throughout. The Spirit Airlines plane, an Airbus SE A321, was flying from Fort Lauderdale to Boston at the time.

According to reports, an air traffic controller noticed the similar altitudes and aligned flight paths of the two aircraft. In an effort to ensure safety, the controller repeatedly warned the Spirit Airlines pilots to change course, saying "Look out!". Despite the warning, both planes remained at a safe distance.

Spirit Airlines, in their response to the incident, emphasized safety as their top priority. They confirmed that they followed air traffic control procedures and instructions during the incident. The airline landed safely in Boston after the encounter.

It is worth noting that the Spirit Airlines plane was not carrying any high-profile individuals. The incident sparked attention on social media, with @thenewarea51 sharing an audio recording of the incident. However, there is no publicly available information about the name of the pilot or flight attendant of Spirit Airlines flight 1300 on the day it encountered Air Force One.

The FAA further stated that neither the Spirit Airlines plane nor Air Force One breached any safety thresholds. No further actions were reported to have been taken as a result of the incident.

The encounter over Long Island occurred during President Trump's state visit to London, separate from the incident. This close call serves as a reminder of the complexities and challenges faced by air traffic controllers in managing air traffic safely.
