Mika Bails, Hoti on the Fence: Dynamo's Transfer Plans Demystified
Placing Dynamo alongside Mika Baur and Andi Hoti
When the season winds down for Dynamo Dresden, the talks about their players' fates heat up. Loan players Mika Baur and Andi Hoti are facing uncertain futures, and sporting director Thomas Brendel is not holding back about where he stands.
Dresden - Loan players have been a successful strategy for Dynamo Dresden in the past season, with four on the team. Christoph Daferner, 27, was the only permanent addition in the squad. Jonas Sterner, 23, has since moved on to league rival Hannover. As for Andi Hoti, 22, and Mika Baur, 20, they've left a marked impact, even though circumstances may separate them from the team.
Both players joined Dynamo in January. Hoti was loaned from 1. FC Magdeburg, while Baur joined from SC Paderborn. Coach Thomas Stamm, who worked with these players at SC Freiburg, knew their potential. Despite injuries and inconsistent game-time, Hoti secured a spot in the starting line-up, and his teammates warmly appreciate him. Baur, on the other hand, will be heading back to Paderborn post-loan.
"Mika Baur? Nope. We can't plan with him for the new season." Sporting director Thomas Brendel candidly shares his plans for the young defender.
So what about Andi Hoti? Sporting director Brendel confirms that both player and club would like to continue their partnership, with Hoti having settled in and established himself in the team. The interest is mutual, and there have been expressions of enthusiasm from both sides. However, the negotiations with 1. FC Magdeburg, notably known for its strict and perspicacious sporting director, Otmar Schork, haven't been smooth sailing. Apparently, the financial terms haven't been met, and more time might be required to reach an agreement.
Dynamo's Pursuit of Hoti's Permanent Signing
"It's not much about coaching changes in Magdeburg. The finances are the key issue here," Brendel hints, hinting that the complexities surrounding the negotiations largely revolve around the financial aspects of the transfer. Rumors suggest that Hoti's value on the market is a steep 700,000 Euros[1][2], which could be causing delays.
"We're working on it," Brendel reassures the fans, "Give us a few more days to seal the deal."
Goal-scoring Impresses, but a Wish Remains Unfulfilled
Despite the season's success, including a remarkable goal-scoring record, Brendel expresses a desire to further strengthen the team. Though he keeps the details close to his chest, he hints that the model of loan players could continue in the 2. Bundesliga[4].
