Pizza Powwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

At the Green Party's lengthy conference in Karlsruhe, the delegates are busy debating, arguing, and deciding the party's future, and it seems their stomachs are in on the action.

Rumor has it that up to 500 pizzas were requested by the 825 attendees and guests, according to a security guard who had to manage the deliveries under strict security measures. The parties apparently had collected orders from their delegates before the pizza magicians of Karlsruhe and the surroundings brought the delights to the hall.

But why the bizarre obsession with pizza, even with veggie options aplenty outside the main hall? Well, crockery is a no-no in the hall, so the Greens had to either wait, or order their pizza by the unboxed dozens. And let's face it, who doesn't love a slice of pie in the middle of a heated debate?

Looks like a good choice: Piled-up pizza boxes outside the Green Party's main hall

The menu for the Greens is as tasty as it's veggie, with options like "ceder-chef's dish of the day: celeriac escalope with baked cauliflower, vegan bacon and mushrooms" priced at 9.50 euros, or "the rolling pasta: pumpkin and cream cheese, served with sage butter and oven vegetables," which will set you back a mere 10.50 euros.

But somehow, the lure of a piping-hot pizza was too strong for many of the Greens to resist. And who are we to judge, when a little pizza breaks up a monotonous conference?

Enrichment Insights:

In a conference setting, pizza delivers in many ways (pun intended). It's convenient, versatile, and logistically easy to manage within the constraints of a hall with crockery restrictions. Additionally, its cost-effectiveness makes it an appealing choice for budget-conscious events.
