Pitstop refreshes German branches with HUK-Coburg's bold new branding

Pitstop, the auto service chain, is updating the look of its branches across Germany. The changes come as part of a wider move to highlight its connection with HUK-Coburg, the insurance group that now owns a majority stake in the business. The redesign will feature the insurer's branding more prominently on storefronts.

HUK-Coburg first bought a share of Pitstop in 2022 and expanded its ownership last year. By 2025, the group held around 84.9% of the company, integrating the workshop network—with roughly 300 branches nationwide—into its operations.

The visual update means the HUK logo will now appear alongside Pitstop's branding. At around 50 locations, including Sankt Augustin, the full HUK-Coburg name will be displayed where both workshop services and customer offices operate. Other branches will show only the HUK logo without additional text.

The new design aims to signal Pitstop's role within the HUK-Coburg Group. It also supports the insurer's broader goal of positioning itself as a provider of mobility services beyond traditional insurance.

The rebranding will roll out at selected branches this year. Customers will see clearer links between Pitstop and HUK-Coburg, reflecting the group's long-term strategy. The changes follow years of growing investment and integration between the two companies.
