Pilot from Tomsk claimed silver medal at the Russian Cup competition
In the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Russian Superlight Aviation Cup, a prestigious paragliding tournament, recently concluded. The event attracted top paragliders from 13 regions across Russia, including Tomsk region.
One of the participants from Tomsk region was Alexander Lust, a pilot-instructor at the "Podnebesye" club located at TUSUR in the Tomsk region. Lust, who hails from Tomsk, showcased his skills and determination throughout the competition.
The week-long competition saw participants navigating distances over 50 kilometers, utilising ascending air currents to reach heights up to 2,200 meters. In the cross-country discipline, Lust secured a silver medal, demonstrating his exceptional flying abilities.
Despite Lust's impressive performance, the Tomsk region team was outranked by the athletes from Bashkortostan, Novosibirsk region, and St. Petersburg in the team standings. The Tomsk region team finished fourth overall in the Russian Superlight Aviation Cup.
