After a tumultuous year and a half, singer Pietro Lombardi and influencer Laura Maria Rypa have announced their separation. The couple, who have been in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2020, shared the news on their respective social media platforms.
The couple, who have two sons together, born in January 2023 and August 2024, had been planning a winter wedding for 2025. However, over time, they realized they were heading in different directions and decided to part ways.
The breakup was preceded by increasing tensions and difficulties, including a notable argument that led Pietro to temporarily leave their shared home. Reports indicate the main issues arose from everyday struggles: Pietro's frequent work travels contrasted with Laura managing the household, children, and renovations largely alone, causing her to feel overwhelmed and unsupported. Pietro Lombardi, who won the German version of the TV show "DSDS" (Deutschland sucht den Superstar), admitted to shameful behavior during the argument, but denied hitting his partner. The Cologne public prosecutor's office later dropped the case against Lombardi.
Rypa called the police during the argument, and was later taken to a hospital. Despite the difficult circumstances, the couple has vowed to take this step privately and calmly.
