Charli XCX and her long-time partner George Daniel have officially become husband and wife, as they exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony held in Sicily over the weekend. The news comes after the couple announced their engagement in November 2023.
The music awards ceremony, the NME Awards, provided a memorable moment for the couple earlier this year, as they were both present and Charli XCX was nominated for Best Solo Act In The World, Best British Solo Act, and Best Collaboration. Playwright Jeremy O Harris and Swedish songwriter and music producer Linus Wiklund were seen talking to Troye Sivan, while Julia Fox, EASYFUN, A. G. Cook, and Matty Healy were seen at the DJ decks. Charli XCX and George Daniel's friends Gabbriette and Yung Lean were also spotted dancing together at the celebration.
Aidan Zamiri, Canadian artist Petra Collins, actress and comedian Alex Consani, and singer-songwriter Robyn were also photographed at the ceremony. The search results do not specify the names of the guest musicians who played at the wedding, but it was certainly a musical affair.
Charli XCX walked down the aisle to 'Hero' by Enrique Iglesias, and the song 'Talk Talk', which featured on her album 'Brat', was written about an encounter with Daniel at the 2020 NME Awards.
