Phoenix halt Breakers’ streak with dominant 92-80 NBL win

The South East Melbourne Phoenix secured a 92-80 victory over the New Zealand Breakers on Sunday. The win ended the Breakers’ three-game winning streak and kept the Phoenix in third place in the standings.

The Breakers started strong, leading late in the second quarter. But by halftime, they trailed 44-41. The Phoenix then pulled ahead, extending their advantage to 71-62 before the final quarter.

The loss drops the Breakers further behind in the race for a top-six spot. The Phoenix, however, maintain their position in third place with another strong performance. Both teams now turn their focus to their upcoming fixtures later this week.
