Philippines enjoys calm weather as 2025 ends with clear skies ahead

The Philippines can expect mostly fair weather as 2025 draws to a close. According to the state weather bureau, conditions will stay favourable nationwide, including during New Year’s celebrations. Forecasters see little chance of major disruptions in the coming days.

As of 27 December 2025, Pagasa reported no significant weather disturbances across the country. The agency’s latest analysis also ruled out the likelihood of any low pressure area strengthening into a storm before the year ends.

Weather Specialist Ana Dumdum confirmed the outlook remains positive. Good conditions are set to last through New Year’s Day and into the first week of January 2026. However, regional differences will persist. Central and western areas, such as Palawan and the Visayas, will see drier and more stable weather. Cities like Puerto Princesa and Iloilo can expect clearer skies. Meanwhile, eastern and northern regions may still face occasional rain or unsettled weather.

The forecast brings relief for travellers and revellers planning outdoor activities. With no major storms expected, authorities and the public can prepare for celebrations with greater confidence. Pagasa will continue monitoring conditions for any sudden changes.
