Phil Collins and Oasis Among Nominees - Phil Collins, Shakira and Wu-Tang Clan Lead 2026 Rock Hall Nominations
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has revealed its 17 nominees for the 2026 induction. Artists from hip-hop, Latin pop, and post-punk are among the contenders this year. Voting is now open to both industry members and fans until April.
Solo star Phil Collins, known for his work outside Genesis, is nominated. Collins has faced health battles in recent years, from COVID-19 to kidney problems and multiple knee operations. His nomination arrives alongside Oasis, whose frontman Liam Gallagher has repeatedly criticised the institution.
Shakira, Pink, Lauryn Hill, and Wu-Tang Clan also appear on the ballot. Ten of the nominees are first-time contenders, while seven have been nominated before. The selection spans heavy metal, R&B, and other genres, reflecting a broad musical spectrum.
Voting runs until April, with around 1,200 industry professionals and fans taking part. The final inductees will be announced that same month, followed by the induction ceremony in Cleveland later in the year.
The 2026 class will be chosen from a mix of newcomers and returning nominees. Winners will join the Hall of Fame at an event in Cleveland after the April announcement. The ceremony will honour artists from across decades and musical styles.
