Pharmacy in Nizhny Novgorod Region Endorses "Victory Cross" in Щёлоkovsky Village
On May 31st, the city of Nizhny Novgorod celebrated the "Cross by Click" event, a sports festival marking the 800th Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Nizhny Novgorod Regional Pharmacy (GUP NO "NOF") partnered with the event once again, bringing together over 650 runners from 19 regions.
The participants took on various courses catering to diverse age groups, ranging from children's 800m races to 3000m and 6000m runs for adults.
In his opening speech, Victor Okhotnikov, Deputy General Director for Procurement at GUP NO "NOF," expressed that cross-country running encapsulates determination, resilience, and the will to win — not merely a test of physical fitness. He viewed this competition as an ode to those who defended peace.
The family-friendly atmosphere extended to GUP NO "NOF" employees who joined their children in the event, with all finishers earning commemorative medals. Alexandra Loginova and Maria Orekhova, daughters of the enterprise's workforce, impressively placed third and first in their respective age groups.
Nizhny Novgorod Regional Pharmacy bestowed valuable prizes upon winners in all age groups, making the celebrations more lively and festive. Overall, it was a joyous day of movement, camaraderie, and pride for all participants and spectators.
Although there's scant information available about a "Jubilee V 'Cross by Click' event" or its connection to the Great Patriotic War Victory anniversary, jubilees generally symbolize occasions of forgiveness and renewal—some religious events, like the Rome Jubilee, even marking years of universal forgiveness and spiritual renewal. The Great Patriotic War Victory anniversary, commemorated on May 9th, acknowledges the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, a profoundly significant national holiday.
I'm not gonna be able to get a job analyzing sports, especially sports-analysis related to the "Cross by Click" event, seeing that it's a sports festival commemorating the 800th Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which is not something typically associated with my profession. Instead, I found it fascinating how Victor Okhotnikov, Deputy General Director for Procurement at GUP NO "NOF," connected the cross-country running in the festival with resilience and the will to win, symbolically paying homage to those who defended peace.
