German Skeleton Champions Sweep Titles

Jacqueline Pfeifer and Axel Jungk triumphed in the German skeleton championships held on the World Championship track in Winterberg. Pfeifer, previously second at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics as Lölling, took the top spot in Hochsauerland, with Hannah Neise, the Beijing Olympic champion, and Corinna Leipold following closely behind.

Neise, alongside Pfeifer, and Tina Hermann, who won the opening event in Beijing, along with Susanne Kreher, the World Champion, will form the German team for the upcoming World Cup in La Plagne, France.

In the men's event, Jungk snatched the title ahead of Felix Keisinger and Felix Seibel. Christopher Grotheer, the Beijing Olympic champion, was already materially nominated for the World Cup team.

The homegrown champions look forward to representing Germany at the World Championships on the Winterberg track, where they claimed their titles. Jungk aims to defend his Olympic silver medal.
