"I’m thrilled to stand before you today, honoring the 202 anniversary of my homeland, Peru, and the 36 years of diplomatic relations we’ve forged with Ghana," Ambassador Tuppia began. "This gathering gives us an opportunity to reaffirm the democratic values we hold dear, not only within our own borders but also in our foreign policies."

Tuppia highlighted the defense of democracy, protection of human rights, and environmental conservation as key areas where both nations align. "These shared interests have formed the bedrock of our enduring friendship," the ambassador asserted.

Ghana's Deputy Minister for Energy, Mr. Henry Krapa, echoed Tuppia's sentiments, expressing gratitude for the strong partnership between the countries. "Our relations, which date back to 1987, have been built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to democracy, good governance, and the rule of law."

The Deputy Minister also announced an upcoming collaboration between Ghana and Peru to support the Spanish Section at the Department of Languages at the University of Ghana, Legon. "This partnership underscores our recognition of the importance of cooperation in education and human capacity development," Krapa said.
