The Separated Brothers: Farhuddin and Farhad

Back in the day, there were five brothers known as the Badeli brothers. They hailed from Kabul, living with their father and without a mother. As each new conflict stirred in Afghanistan, one by one, the brothers met their end, leaving only the youngest duo, Farhuddin and Farhad, to full the void.

These two tight-knit souls, The Inseparables, they referred to themselves.

Together, they laid their brothers and father to rest. Together, they set up a tailor shop, christened "Brother Tailors." They expanded their families, clinging to their bond through all the wars, but in 2021, as the Taliban seized power once more, these brothers had seen more than enough of war and oppression. They opted for exile. Farhuddin headed towards Iran and Turkey. Farhad towards Pakistan and Germany.

For the very first time in their lives, at over 40 years old, the brothers found themselves apart. Their journeys unfolded as a mosaic of contrasting fates, revealing a rapidly channeling world that, by 2025, seemed to whisper only one thing: The vessel is full.

Now, standing tall, they grapple with significant questions: Is there still sanctuary for refugees? Will the brothers ever reunite again? This is their story.
