Persona 4 comeback unveiled, though details on its launch remain undisclosed
Persona 4's Revival: A New Era for the Classic JRPG
No set release date yet, but get ready for an enhanced remake on multiple platforms
It's official! After years of rumors, Atlus has finally announced the highly-anticipated remake of the classic JRPG, Persona 4. The game, now titled Persona 4 Revival, made its first appearance at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9, 2025.
Prepare to revisit the charming, yet eerie, small town of Inaba. Persona 4 Revival will grace the screens of PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Similar to Persona 3 Reload, it's confirmed that this is a full remake, not just a simple port.
Sadly, there's no official release date as of now. However, if the engrossing short teaser trailer is anything to go by, we can expect some exciting changes such as a full 360 camera, allowing for a more immersive gameplay experience. Plus, while the trailer didn't showcase remixed versions of the iconic soundtrack, it's likely that we'll see them incorporating a revamped soundtrack, just like Persona 3 Reload.
One piece of exciting news that came out of the trailer is the presence of the Xbox Game Pass logo, suggesting that the game will be available on the subscription service on day one. Although for now, it seems that only Xbox platforms will be releasing the game. However, consider Persona 4 Revival as a strong contender for a release on the rumored upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
As for the additional content that was included in the Persona 4 Golden re-release, we're still waiting to find out if they will make an appearance in Persona 4 Revival. With any luck, we’ll gather more information on this exciting game in the coming months!
