Unapologetically Unabstinent: Stefan Mross Stands His Ground on Alcohol

Persistent Wine Lover Stefan Mross Remains Unrepentant About Alcohol Consumption

The whispers about Stefan Mross's alcohol issues have been swirling for about two grueling years—fanned initially by his former flame, Anna-Carina Woitschack. Drowning under the allegations, the 49-year-old entertainer continues to drain his glasses without a care—though he's toned things down a notch as of late.

On his weekly ARD show, "Immer wieder sonntags," the folk musician has been known to grab more than just the mic. But if the gossip mill is to be believed, he might have been reaching for drinks beyond Sundays.

The chatter about Mross's alleged alcohol issues was further amplified when he pulled out of a performance at Munich Oktoberfest unexpectedly last September. As the story goes, he was reported to have toppled during a wedding celebration the night before.

Buzz "Not a Soul Carried Me Out" Stefan Mross Fumes Over Drunk Claims Woitschack, Mross's ex, played the gasoline to the fire. "Our crew and I have been urging him for years to seek professional help," she publicly declared.

Mross, however, has always maintained his innocence. "Them trying to label me an alcoholic when I'm not one, that's some bullcrap!" he retorted back in 2023.

He also dismissed the rumors about being carted off during the Oktoberfest event. "Claiming I was mob-dragged out of the bloody party is a barefaced lie and a crock of s#!t," he asserted. His cancellation the following day was due to scheduling conflicts, not booze-fueled embarrassment.

Chatter Post-Oktoberfest Hullabaloo, Stefan Mross Brushes Off Alcohol Accusations In a candid chat with "SuperIllu," Mross tackled his alcohol consumption head-on, among other things. "I refuse to become a teetotaler," he stated unequivocally. Adding, "Just because the media thinks I'm downing drinks like there's no tomorrow, doesn't make it a goddamn fact!"

Nestled in the arms of his girlfriend Eva Luginger, whom he's been with for around two years, he's found a reprieve from his rowdy past. "The ragers I used to throw, they're history. We're more into having a swank dinner and quaffing a glass of vino," he confessed. Nothing to hang his head over, he insists. "Truth be told, I've never really slipped up—even if I had a few messy splits or wild benders," says Mross.

The host might be celebrated his double milestone year—the 20th anniversary of "Immer wieder sonntags" and his 50th birthday on November 26—with an unburdened soul.

Despite the persistent alcohol accusations, it's clear that Mross and his partner have embraced a more refined lifestyle, preferring a swank dinner and a glass of vino over his former wild benders.
