Persiluhr Library Closes for Four Days in April 2023
Persiluhr Community Library will close for four days next month. The shutdown runs from April 3 to April 6, 2023, with no access to services or staff. Patrons can still return most items during this time—but not everything will go through the usual drop-off point. The library will shut its doors on Monday, April 3, and remain closed until Thursday, April 6. Normal operations resume on Friday, April 7, with regular opening hours.
During the closure, borrowed books and similar materials can be returned via the external book drop at Gartenstraße 2. However, items from the 'Library of Things'—such as tools, kitchen appliances, and sports equipment—must be brought back in person. These non-book objects cannot fit through the chute and will only be accepted when the library reopens. Regular opening times are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM. The library also opens on Saturdays from 10 AM to 1 PM. As usual, it stays closed on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The temporary closure means no staff will be available for assistance or checkouts. Patrons with 'Library of Things' items should wait until April 7 to return them. All other materials can still be dropped off at the external chute during the shutdown.
