Ballet Performer, Valery Argunov, Exudes Vibrancy in "The Radiant Stone" and Awaits "Golden Mask" Award

Russian ballet artist, Valery Argunov, found a deep connection to his character Botur of the Lower World in the ballet "The Radiant Stone." He attributes this connection to his Sakha heritage, which played a crucial role in bringing the character to life with distinctive, lasting qualities. Beyond his genetic makeup, Argunov's charisma can be attributed to his impressive physique.

Despite his nomination for the National Theater Award "Golden Mask" in the "Best Male Role" category, Argunov initially found it hard to believe his achievement. "It's unreal," he thought upon learning about his nomination. However, with a joyful smile spread across his face, he now holds the "Golden Mask" nominee diploma in his hands.

Despite the accolade, Argunov still cannot fully relax, as he is preparing for the Chelyabinsk Festival, "In Honor of Ekaterina Maximova." He will be performing in two ballets during the event and is determined to give it his all.

The Russian Army Theater's expansive stage brings out his natural talent, as his tall stature allows him to fully express himself on the grand stage. In comparison, the smaller stage in Yakutsk requires him to make every step shorter, which makes it challenging to adapt to larger stages.

Throughout his career, Argunov has graced numerous prestigious stages, including the Bolshoi Theater of Russia, Moscow Academic Musical Theater, St. Petersburg's theater, and theaters in Ulan-Ude, Greece, Japan, New York, and other cities worldwide. When asked about his favorite stage, he expressed that every location presents different nuances, making it impossible to single out a specific favorite.

Although he may appear full of energy and untired, Argunov reveals that he is exhausted after performances and returns home like a squeezed lemon. However, with the excitement of his recent "Golden Mask" nomination still fresh in his mind, the atmosphere has given him an extra burst of energy, making him feel like he could still dance.

Prepared for Chelyabinsk and ready to give a outstanding performance, Argunov says he feels charged up. When he first heard the audience's applause during the performance, he sensed that he had accomplished his objective. Given his competitive nature, Argunov always strives for victory.

Valery Argunov, nominated for the "Golden Mask" Award in the "Best Male Role" category, is also known for his captivating performances in entertainment spheres. As he awaits the "Golden Mask" Award, he also looks forward to entertaining audiences at the Chelyabinsk Festival, "In Honor of Ekaterina Maximova," where he will showcase his talents as a ballet performer amidst a star-studded lineup of celebrities in the world of dance.
