Performer Majo Aguilar grants a fan the opportunity to sing at his concert, yet imposes restrictions, asserting "It's my show"; audience members respond accordingly.
In the heart of Chiapas, Mexico, Majo Aguilar graced the stage at the Feria Santo Domingo de Guzmán over the weekend, marking her seventh performance in the region this year. The daughter of Antonio Aguilar Jr., Majo has always held a special place for the Chiapaneco audience.
During her performance, Majo invited a young man named Marco from the audience to join her on stage to sing the classic "El Rey" by Vicente Fernández. Marco, with newfound confidence, sang the song, and Majo accompanied him during some parts. After they finished, Majo thanked Marco for his participation.
However, the event was not without controversy. A video of Majo removing Marco from the stage after he asked to sing another song circulated on social media, causing a stir among fans and viewers. Some defended Majo, saying, "One song was enough, he wanted to stay the whole night" and "Majo, you gave him a minute... that's enough." Others questioned Majo's attitude in the situation.
This incident was not the only one that caused controversy. Another video, widely shared on TikTok, showed Majo interrupting her concert to demand the removal of her cousins Pepe and Ángela Aguilar, causing a scandal.
Despite the debates, Majo's message to Chiapas was clear. In a heartfelt message, she expressed her love for the people of Chiapas and her appreciation for the audience. She mentioned the green and blooming land of Chiapas, and her enjoyment of each visit for the people, natural beauty, and local food. Majo also promised to return to Chiapas soon.
In her emotional and expressive message, Majo did not address the earlier incidents. Instead, she focused on the positive aspects of her performances in Chiapas. As the debate continues on social media, Majo's fans remain supportive, looking forward to her next visit to the beautiful state of Chiapas.
