Kelly Clarkson's highly anticipated Las Vegas residency, "Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions," finally began on July 11, 2025, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, following a week-long delay due to unforeseen circumstances.

The pop icon, who turned 43 this year, took the stage in a casual t-shirt, emphasising intimacy over glitz and glamour. This approachable style resonated with the audience, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Just hours before the initial premiere on July 4th, Clarkson announced the cancellation of the opening weekend shows on Instagram, citing illness as the reason. Apologies were issued to fans, and Clarkson returned to the stage one week later, expressing her relief and happiness to finally be performing.

During the show, Clarkson revealed that she had sold part of her music catalog, but did not disclose the specifics such as the sum or the buyer. The residency, which consists of 18 performances running until November 15th, featured hits like "Stronger" and "Since U Been Gone," as well as lesser-known tracks like "Sober" and "Tight Rope."

Evidence of Clarkson's relief was visible in a TikTok video shared during the show, where she could be seen taking a spontaneous tequila shot with an audience member. Throughout the performance, Clarkson expressed her gratitude to the audience for their understanding and support during the delay.

Clarkson had promoted her initial performance on July 4th via Instagram, but the residency's actual premiere was on July 11th. The singer mentioned that they had been working hard to make the residency unique for the audience, with intense preparations and rehearsals leading up to the opening night.

"Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions" marks Clarkson's second residency in Las Vegas, following "Chemistry" at Planet Hollywood in 2023. The singer became emotional during her show, expressing her appreciation for the opportunity to perform in the city she loves.

Despite the unexpected delay, Clarkson's Las Vegas residency has already proven to be a hit, with fans praising her performance and the unique, intimate atmosphere created during the show. The residency is set to continue until November, with tickets still available for those who wish to experience Clarkson's musical magic firsthand.
