Performance Venue on the Lower Rhine River
Get ready for a wild ride as Heaven and Hell collide at the 16th Lower Rhine Theater Festival! For years, the always-cheerful Angel and the eternally grumpy Devil have been causing chaos on stage together. This time, they find themselves stuck in a hotel room – supposedly a booking error, but is it really just a charming coincidence? Their boss has got them locked up together for a unique, therapy-like experience. While the eternally optimistic Angel manages to find humor in every situation, the cynical Devil guzzles down his frustration with everyone around him. But what if they had to swap roles for a day?
Swapping roles might be a daunting task for these actors, but they're excited for the challenge. Verena Bill, who's also directing, reveals, "The play is definitely going to toss us a curveball. Suddenly finding ourselves in each other's bodies – that's going to be quite the experience!"
The 16th Lower Rhine Theatre Festival kicks off on July 25th at the open-air theater at Burg Brüggen, continuing through August 9th with a total of eight performances. Tickets start at a budget-friendly 22 euros at the castle or online at www.niederrheintheater.de.
Before the festival begins, the youngest theater-goers can enjoy a special performance: On Sunday, June 29th at 11 am, the Lower Rhine Theater (featuring none other than Nadine Schaub and Christian Stock) will put on the family-friendly play "The Little Witch" by Ottfried Preußler in the inner courtyard of Burg Brüggen as part of the "Brüggener Sommer." Best part? Admission is free for all to enjoy!
