On October 3, 2025, the city of Wuppertal extends an invitation to celebrate German Unity Day with a concert at the Historical City Hall, with the festivities set to commence at 11 a.m.

Performance on German National Day

The Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal is set to deliver a captivating musical experience with their upcoming concert. This year's event, guest-conducted by Simon Gaudenz, promises to showcase the orchestra's musical range like never before.

The program for the concert includes Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 1 in F minor, op.10, Robert Schumann's Concerto for Violoncello in A minor, op.129, and Zoltán Kodály's "Hungarian Rondo". Joining the orchestra on stage will be cellist Joél Wöpke, adding an extra layer of brilliance to the performance.

The regular ticket price for the event is 25 euros, but for those who qualify for reduced pricing, tickets are available for 10 euros.

This year's concert proceeds will be donated to "Färberei - Zentrum für Integration und Inklusion", making your attendance not just a musical treat, but also a contribution towards a good cause.
