Pentecostal Horse Riding Contest Set for Its 65th Edition
Pasewalk, a happening place in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germania, is all set to rock with the 65th Pasewalk Pfingstturnier kicking off on Saturday. Head over to Volkskulturpark 2, where Martin Kühl's crew has transformed a once humble farm into a chic equestrian sports arena fitted with stables, a large indoor arena, and a vast tournament field. Generations of horse enthusiasts have strutted their stuff on this very battleground, with the initial tournament organized by Sektion Pferdesport Pasewalk up to 1990. After its rebranding as Pasewalker Pferdesportverein in 1990, the tradition continues!
Medallic maestros from Brandenburg and MV to grace the presence
132 big-leaguers have showed up for this year's tournament, with three classes being split into two sections due to the staggering count. Expect some major riders from Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, tribunes of state championships, to join the fray. RSV Polzow will bring 20 riders, spearheaded by the Ebel-Jürgens power couple, Anna and Ulf, alongside their uncle Olaf Jürgens. The dynamic duo boasts a whopping six state championship wins! While Ulf Ebel bagged the defending title in the Grand Prix last year, his missus, Anna Ebel-Jürgens bagged a victory in the championship's prequel - the second highest jumping class.
