Penfold appoints fintech veteran Jonathan Schneider as new Chairman
Penfold, a digital workplace pension provider, has named Jonathan Schneider as its new Chairman. The company aims to accelerate its growth in the workplace savings sector with his appointment. Schneider brings over 25 years of experience in building and supporting fast-growing finance businesses.
Schneider has a strong background in fintech and scaling businesses. He previously founded and sold companies like Capital Step and Provira. His leadership also helped Iwoca, where he has served as Chairman since its early days, disburse over £3 billion in loans.
At Penfold, he will focus on strategy, fundraising, and expanding the company's corporate market presence. Chris Eastwood, CEO and Co-founder of Penfold, believes Schneider's expertise will help the firm grow more quickly. Schneider himself expressed enthusiasm for supporting Penfold's mission, particularly in improving employee financial wellbeing.
Beyond Penfold, Schneider currently chairs other tech-driven businesses, including Ada Health and Multiply.ai. His track record includes turning fintech startups into major players within the industry.
Schneider's appointment comes as Penfold looks to strengthen its position in workplace pensions. His experience in scaling businesses and deep fintech knowledge are expected to drive the company's next phase of growth. The focus will remain on expanding its market reach and enhancing financial services for employees.
