Pedestrian injured after driver fails to see them in Borken crash

A pedestrian was struck by a car in Borken on Monday evening. The incident left the person with minor injuries, and they were later transported to a general hospital. Police are now investigating the collision.

The crash occurred along Engelbert-Sundermann-Straße. A 26-year-old driver from Stadtlohn was attempting to turn onto Uferstraße when he hit the pedestrian. According to authorities, the man behind the wheel failed to notice the person crossing.

The injured pedestrian, also a resident of Stadtlohn, was treated at a hospital near me in Ahaus. Their condition was described as stable, with no serious harm reported. The Borken district police department (Kreispolizeibehörde Borken) is handling the case. So far, the name of the investigating officer has not been released in official reports.

The driver’s failure to spot the pedestrian resulted in the collision. The injured person received medical care in Ahaus and suffered only minor harm. Police continue to examine the circumstances of the incident.
