Paul Janke Still Enjoying Mexico Vacation - Paul Janke enjoys Cancún getaway amid Mexico's unrest before Lübeck event
Former Bachelor star Paul Janke is currently on holiday in Cancún, Mexico. Despite recent unrest in parts of the country, he has reassured fans that he remains safe and far from the affected areas. His trip comes just before a scheduled appearance in Lübeck on February 28, 2023.
Janke's vacation coincides with a period of instability in Mexico. On February 22, 2026, the death of drug boss El Mencho in Jalisco triggered widespread protests, roadblocks, and arson across roughly 20 states. However, Cancún—located on the Yucatán Peninsula—has stayed calm, unlike high-risk regions such as Jalisco and Guanajuato.
The German Foreign Office has not issued a travel ban for Cancún or the Riviera Maya. Still, it advises tourists to stay cautious due to organised crime risks. Recommendations include avoiding drinks from strangers, women not travelling alone at night, and monitoring local updates. Janke has shared that he is enjoying his time in the resort city, unaffected by the violence elsewhere.
His return to Germany is set for February 28, 2023, the same day he will appear at a Single Ladies – Bachelor Editionmain event in Lübeck.
The situation in Mexico has eased since the initial unrest, though conditions remain unpredictable. Janke's trip continues without disruption, and authorities urge travellers in Cancún to stay vigilant. His upcoming event in Lübeck marks his return to Germany later this month.
