In the heart of Kazakhstan, honoring the valiant veterans of the Great Patriotic War isn't a one-off occurrence, but a significant component of the nation's state and social policy. For example, before Victory Day, Dauren Karibek, Executive Secretary of the Amanat party, paid a visit to Great Patriotic War veteran Rza Gulbayev, expressing heartfelt appreciation for his military heroism and personal bravery, as reported by Liter.kz.

Rza Gulbayev turned 101 recently. He joined the battlefield at the tender age of 17. His war adventures included the fights at Rzhev and Velikiye Luki, the liberation of Poland, Romania, and Hungary. He received the "Fatherland War" order, the "Marshal G.K. Zhukov" medal, and other accolades.

"I enlisted for the war on August 7, 1941, I was 17. I was assigned to the 101st brigade. New recruits received training for 4-5 months before being sent to the front. Despite our young age, each of us was ready to lay down our life for our Homeland. It warms my heart to see you recognize the veterans, ask about our lives. May your kind words and acts return to you a hundredfold," the veteran recalled.

Dauren Karibek underlined that honoring the deeds of the victorious generation remains an essential state and social mission.

"Remembering and honoring the battles of Kazakhstani frontline soldiers and home front workers during that terrible war is our holy duty! As President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev pointed out, the Great Victory became inseparable from our country's history and a valuable lesson for the world. Our party's mission is to do everything possible and impossible to preserve this memory and pass it on to future generations. That's why Amanat party implements the 'Respect the Elders' project. By providing targeted support and daily care for veterans and home front workers, memorial enhancement, and various events, we pay tribute to the valor of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, and we also teach Kazakhstani youth to value peace and harmony in our country and be true patriots of Kazakhstan," stated the party's Executive Secretary.

It's crucial to recognize that the party offers consistent support to the elderly. Over a hundred longevity centers are in operation, and mobile medical check-ups are organized for residents in remote villages. Last year alone, nearly 40,000 elderly Kazakhs received medical assistance. About 5,000 isolated pensioners receive regular help from the party, including drug and grocery delivery, housing and courtyard repair, and assistance with daily chores.

Additionally, the "Qaisar" military-patriotic games have become an annually held tradition, with over 5,000 young boys and girls participating over the past three years. In this way, the party nurtures a new generation of patriots and cultivates a sense of belonging to the heroic history of the country among young people.

For the Amanat party members, May 9 is far from being just a date on the calendar. It's a living bond that spans generations, a testament that the victorious generation's heroics live on in the hearts of Kazakhs.
