Party Member Claims Wike Assigned to Dismantle PDP
Revamped Rant:
FredFish Fumes, Accuses Wike of Sabotaging PDP
In an explosive tirade, Dr. Tom FredFish, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, has hurled a bombshell accusation at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike: he's trying to destroy the opposition party from within!
Addressing a gathering of journalists in Uyo, FredFish, who holds the title of Chairman of the PDP Advocate for Peace and Justice (PAPAJ), called the higher-ups in the PDP to muster their courage and kick Wike out of the party using constitutional means.
Wike had earlier stated that no one holds the authority to expel him from the PDP. But FredFish wasn't backing down, insisting that Wike has been undermining the party's interests, a clear violation of the party's constitution, ideals, and principles.
FredFish wasn't done yet. He took aim at Wike's claims of working tirelessly for the PDP. "If Mr. Wike says he's working hard for the party, what kind of hard work is he doing?" FredFish questioned, "Is it positive or negative?"
He accused Wike of undermining the PDP during the 2023 presidential race by colluding with other parties and orchestrating the defection of members of the Rivers State House of Assembly who were loyal to him.
"Is he not the same Wike who openly worked against the PDP in the 2023 presidential election?" FredFish thundered, "And who conspired with, encouraged, and ordered the 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly that are loyal to him to decamp to the APC and work against the interests of Rivers State controlled by the PDP?"
"As far as the PDP Advocate for Peace and Justice is concerned," FredFish concluded, "Wike was appointed to destroy the PDP, and he's doing a fine job of it. He shouldn't expect party faithful across the country to cheer him on for undermining the party leadership."
FredFish then appealed to the PDP Board of Trustees, led by Senator Adolfus Wabara, former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President, Senator David Mark, and other party leaders, to rally around the National Working Committee and evict Wike from the party using sections 10(6), 57, and 58 of the PDP Constitution as amended in 2017.
