In a bizarre and shocking turn of events, a 22-year-old man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has been facing intense scrutiny after revealing the gruesome discovery he made in his apartment. The body of his ex-girlfriend, missing for weeks, was discovered, riddled with gruesome stab wounds. The man, identified as Serkan A., insists he had no hand in the crime, but the evidence mounting against him paints a different picture.
According to local news station "Fox 6," A. shared the grim news with the Milwaukee police on February 27. Upon visiting his apartment, officers found the decomposing body of the 21-year-old woman. Sources indicate that she was lying on the floor, with a pillow placed under her head, leading investigators to question the authenticity of the scene.
Preliminary investigations reveal twelve stab wounds on the woman's body, including those on the neck, abdomen, back, and right arm. The autopsy determined these injuries resulted in severe damage to the heart, lungs, and liver, leading to her demise. Interestingly, there was a substantial amount of blood in the apartment, which had been meticulously cleaned up and covered with a new carpet. Traces of blood removal were, however, found throughout the apartment.
A. claims he was unaware of the woman's death when he returned home from an errand. He suspects he was under pressure due to an impending apartment inspection scheduled for the following day. This explanation, however, seems dubious to investigators.
Evidence against A. continues to grow. For instance, he recently purchased bleach and insect repellent, and neighbors reported a heated argument between the couple. Unfortunately, the murder weapon remains missing; only dull butter knives and carpet knives were found.
Investigators suspect that A. may have killed his girlfriend elsewhere in the apartment and moved the body to the discovery location, mimicking a staged position. Furthermore, A. allegedly shot himself in the head with a nail gun after finding his dead girlfriend, resulting in a nail being embedded in his skull. He only reported the incident to the police weeks later.
Given the mounting evidence against A., including his questionable statements, traces in the apartment, surveillance video from the supermarket, and alleged communications with the victim's family in Turkey, A. has been charged with manslaughter. He is currently in custody on a $1 million bail and is expected to appear before the Milwaukee County Court soon.
